As an invited artist to the East Cut’s January Art show, Home/Sick, I selected a collection of pieces that speak both to the familiar + warm feelings of home, while also distorting + transforming a these visions. In responding to the prompt (shared below), I understand that memories and nostalgia can be warped by the passage of time, and reflected that in these altered realities of surburban and urban contexts.
The exhibit itself was 29 framed, inkjet prints ranging in size from 8” x 10” to 24” x 36”.
